The PR-Pyro™ RPG munitions are fired from the PR-RPG2-HX. There are four 30mm versions and one 38mm version. PR-Pyro™ 1N, 2N, 3N, and 4N are fired from the 30mm rocket tube that comes standard with the RPG simulator. The Magnum RPG3S is fired from the optional 38mm rocket tube. There are four 30mm RPG simulators currently available; three (1N-3N) fire a projectile and one (4N) is a blank. The RPG projectiles have an average range of 75 meters. RPG-1N fires a report charge (bombette) only; it produces a loud blast after 1.5 seconds flight. RPG-3N is a comet only. The comet leaves a familiar smoking trail for its entire flight and burns out in the air leaving no residue.
The RPG-2N is a combination of both comet and bombette and is our most popular RPG munition. It flies approximately 75 meters leaving a smoking trail and explodes with a loud bang after 1.5 seconds.
The RPG-4N fires from the rocket tube with a muzzle signature only. The 4N is popular with training venues that are restricted for safety reasons to a “no untethered projectiles” policy. The RPG-4N can also be a very realistic effect when used with other PR-Pyro™ munitions to set up a hit zone on a building or vehicle. The target is already set up with the blast pyro and is “blown up” in conjunction with the RPG shot.
The Magnum RPG-3S is a comet only projectile with a range of about 150 meters. It leaves a distinct smoking trail and burns up in the air.

The PR-Pyro Concussion Packs are a convenient way to set up bullet strikes or other multi shot scenarios. They come in three sizes and two compositions. Sized small, medium, and large, with or without sparks, they make excellent small IEDs, bullet shots, or distractions. They are small plastic bundles that can easily hidden or camouflaged. The small and medium concussion packs are ideal for indoor scenarios such as booby traps, or gun shots in an active shooter training session. The large concussion packs are more appropriate for outdoor use, but there is no dangerous fragmentation from any size. They can be used in close proximity to personnel safely.

The PR-Pyro IED-1N improvised explosive device simulator is the benchmark product in the PR Tactical Corporation’s OPFOR Munitions & Equipment line of realistic battlefield special effects (BFX). It is designed to be a very versatile device that can be set up almost anywhere the trainer needs a blast, flash and smoke signature. It can be used as a single munition or in pods of 2-5 to create the illusion of a roadside IED, bomb blast, or RPG strike. The IED-1N has been used by U.S. military trainers, government agencies, and training contractors since 2007 with great success. Upon firing, the IED-1N will produce a loud blast, bright flash and plume of smoke without any fragmentation. It is safe and reliable and can be initiated by any of the PR firing systems. Use the IED-1N in combination with other PR-Pyro munitions such as smoke or Claymores to get realistic simulated explosions. The IED-1N will fire vertically or horizontally and can be used as a vehicle borne IED (VBIED) in the bed or trailer hitch of a truck. Standoff of five meters will give trainees a realistic battlefield experience even with their required hearing and eye protection. They will hear it, see it, and smell it, but they won’t get hurt. Due to the size and height of the blast, the PR-Pyro IED-1N is not recommended for indoor use. Suggested uses: road side bombs, bomb hits, VBIEDs, trip wire (outdoors), building or vehicle hits.

The new PR Tactical ground mortar simulator munitions are now packaged in the same high impact polystyrene material as our benchmark IED-1N munitions. They are lightweight and weather resistant. The Mortar 1N, 2N, and 3N simulator munitions can be set up to fire over the heads of trainees or their vehicles and can be fired remotely using all PR firing systems. They will fit into all the PR Tactical simulator stands, or they may be set up in the ground or on buildings or vehicles.
Three styles give the trainer flexibility in staging the battlefield special effects (BFX) he desires for the most realistic training. The 1N style fires a report charge 50 meters up with very little traceable signature. The 1N fires its bombette 1.5 seconds after launch and yields a loud blast with no fragmentation. The 3N fires its whistle straight up and last for approximately 2 seconds with no report. The 2N is a combination whistle and report charge that sounds just like incoming bombardment. The 2N report yields the same blast as the 1N. Range is approximately 50 meters straight up. Use separately or in combination with other PR-Pyro™ battlefield special effects simulator munitions.

The PR-Pyro-C1 claymore simulator munition produces a superior visual battlefield special effect (BFX). Upon discharge it throws pyrotechnic sparking material approximately 20 feet in the air and emits a strong smoke cloud. The sparks spread out at the top to create the illusion of a much larger explosion. Although the claymore munition does produce modest bang, it is not very loud. The PR-Pyro-C1 is best used in conjunction with other PR-Pyro concussion simulators such as IED1N, Mini-IED, or IED2L to create a more robust BFX event. A combination of one C1 claymore and three IED1N simulators fired from the PR-SIM3 stand creates an impressive explosion illusion that can be seen by aircraft crews or drones at altitude.

The PR-Pyro Firebomb simulators are useful as an outdoor Battlefield Special Effect (BFX). Upon initiation by the electric match the firebomb simulator will explode with a bang and produce a bright orange fireball and thick black smoke, which quickly dissipates in the wind. The burning naphthalene may continue to burn for a short period before burning out, and the only debris is the plastic container, which usually is ejected in one or two pieces near the site of the blast.
They are ideal for use as IED or vehicle bomb strikes. They come in three sizes: ½ kilo FB1, 1 kilo FB2, and 2 kilo FB3. The bursting charge and electric match comes already installed. These are a fire hazard and must be used only by trained and certified personnel. The effect can be seen from combat altitude and is ideal for training aircrews.
